Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account details: name, email, password (stored hashed), timezone if you set one, and membership tier.
• Billing: Stripe customer and subscription IDs, payment status, and invoices. Stripe handles card numbers. We never store full card data.
• Training content you send: intro videos, feedback clips, notes, and RSVPs.
• Bookings: times, studio location, student name, and how the lesson is paid. Scheduling itself runs on Cal.com.
• Artist applications: the form answers and video you submit.
• Support tickets: name, email, topic, and the note you send from the homepage form.
• Sign in security: emailed codes for members, authenticator app for staff, and a device cookie after a successful code.
• Technical data: IP address, browser, pages viewed. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights measure traffic and performance without using advertising cookies to track you across other sites.

How we use it

• Run the membership, classes, library, and portal.
• Take payment, issue invoices, and keep credits accurate.
• Schedule privates and in person lessons, and email confirmations through Cal.
• Coach from videos you upload, and reply to applications.
• Keep the account secure and the community usable.
• Answer support tickets you send from the site.
• Understand how the site is used so we can keep it working.

We do not sell your information. We do not use student videos for ads.

Who we share with

We share information only as needed to run the studio:

• Stripe, for payments and invoices.
• Cal.com, for booking and calendar emails.
• Zoom or a similar video tool, for live class and some privates.
• Supabase, for the database, login, and private video storage.
• Resend, for sign in codes and studio email we send ourselves.
• Vercel, for hosting and analytics.
• Avery and authorized teachers, to teach, review applications, and run the portal.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect a person from serious harm.

Videos

Application and coaching videos are stored in a private bucket, not a public folder. Access is limited to the member who uploaded them and to staff who need them for coaching. Do not upload video of someone else unless you have the right to do so. If the dancer is under 18, the parent or guardian on the account is responsible for that permission.

Children

Accounts are for adults, or for a parent or guardian acting for a dancer. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13. If you think we have, email avery@thepointeofyou.com and we will delete it.

Email

We send sign in codes, billing receipts, class and booking notes, and account notices to the email on the account. Those are part of running the studio. If we send optional studio news, you can unsubscribe. Closing the account or emailing avery@thepointeofyou.com also stops marketing mail.

Where data lives

We are an Arizona company. Our processors (Stripe, Cal, Supabase, Resend, Vercel) may store or process data in the United States and other countries where they operate. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that transfer.

Cookies

We use cookies that are needed to sign in, keep you signed in, and remember timezone. A first-party visitor cookie counts membership steps (pricing views, checkout starts, purchases, and optional leave reasons) so we can see what is working. That record stays in our database. We do not sell it. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights load on the site to count visits and measure speed. You can block analytics in your browser. The site may not work if you block the sign in cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep account and billing records while the membership is active and for a period after, as needed for tax, dispute, and legal records. Videos and chat can be deleted when you close the account or ask us to remove them, except where we must keep a copy. You can email avery@thepointeofyou.com to ask what we hold and to request a correction or deletion.

Security

We use HTTPS, hashed passwords, private storage for videos, and extra sign in steps (email codes for members, an authenticator app for staff). No internet service is perfectly secure. Tell us at avery@thepointeofyou.com if you think an account was used without permission.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including California and other U.S. states with privacy laws), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, to ask what we hold, or to object to certain uses. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context advertising. Email avery@thepointeofyou.com. If we decline a request we will say why, unless the law says we cannot. We may need to verify it is you before we act.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. Material changes will be posted here. See also our Terms of Service.
